How to Create Fun, Highly Customised Birthday Games

I bet your birthday is less than a year away. If it is not, then happy birthday! Unless, of course, you were born on 29 February.

Birthday games are a popular use case for Loquiz. Adding facts about the birthday person, along with locations that are meaningful to them, creates a memorable and personal experience. However, this level of customisation can make birthday games time-consuming to build, especially when you want to offer them as a business.

Here are five practical ways to create highly customised birthday games quickly, efficiently, and fun.

1. Prepare some general generic birthday questions

Anything connected to birthday traditions in your country/area works. So create some of those if you know. For example, you can ask: What new strange dish would you like to try? What incredible location would you travel to?

2. Use the collaboration feature

You don’t need to be the only one preparing questions. Use the Collaboration feature, and your players will be able to add their own questions. Maybe they have some funny things to ask about the one who’s about to get older.

3. Create a template game

I’ll tell you a secret: I’m too lazy to build a specific game for each birthday. Also, what if one specific game is a flop? It’s easier if you create a Loquiz game template. Then you recreate a new version of the game for each birthday. And after each event, you can fine-tune the game so it becomes even better.

5. Use loads of photo tasks

By experience, I can say that photo tasks are the most entertaining challenge you can add to your Loquiz games. And if you have good ideas, they’re pretty simple to add. In this article, I’ve listed a few fun photo tasks. Here are some examples:

1. Take a photo: “You’ve just met aliens!”
2. Find a bench nearby, and act out a photo: “Teenagers madly in love”
3. Take a photo: “At least two of your team members working in a local business today!”
4. Find a suitable location and stage the meme: “Diet starts tomorrow… I promise!”
5. Take a photo: “Happy million-dollar lottery winner and envious relatives”

One PRO tip for your birthday event:
