A fake location – Testing your outdoor games without moving around

Testing how your questions look like on the screen or working through scavenger hunt activation sequences is now easier. You can do it in the office with a fake location. The fake location works with outdoor game types. This mode fools your device to “think” you are in a different location on the map than you really are. This allows you to do the first tests of any game concept right behind your worktable.

To use the fake location, log in to the app with your email and password. Open the game you want to test in TEST MODE and start the game.

Then choose from the side menu – Fake location. When you click on it, a little red cross is shown on the map. Now you can drag the map and position this cross over the question location which you want to open.

To deactivate the fake location mode, go again to the menu and click on the Fake location button.

While this is a quick way to check out your game then testing your games outdoor for real is needed as a final step. This ensures that locations are accessible as well gives you understanding how moving between locations works.
