When you build your very own game on the Creator, there are many reasons why your game has an error. This can be frustrating because you can’t host your game with an error. So let’s see in this article how to avoid a screen like this:

Does your game have errors? Let’s go through the next comprehensive checklist, then go to the corresponding section below. I’ll explain how to solve the error.
You set a task to appear on the map at some point of the game. But you haven’t selected its location yet.
You just need to click anywhere on the map in the Creator.

You set a task to appear on a playground, but you haven’t decided where it’s positioned yet.
Just click anywhere on the Playground in the Creator, and the error will be gone.

You created a playground, but you didn’t give it a name yet. You need some text, as it will appear on the player’s screen. So you can’t leave it blank.
You can edit the name in the Playground configurations:

If you set a playground, you’ll also need to set an associated picture. Don’t forget to check that you’ve indeed uploaded a file.

The game finishes after a certain number of minutes (20? 30? 60?). If you decide so, you’ll need to define it in the config as follows:

As a game master, you can decide that a game finishes at a certain time. Don’t forget to set a time.
Note: The timezone depends on your device. If your device is set to 13:00 GMT + 0 or London time, then it will be 08:00 in Boston.

Usually, the time limit depends on the task. But in these settings, you can define a time limit for all tasks. If it happens, just don’t forget to set it (in seconds).

Hints can be fun if your game’s riddles are tough. To raise the challenge, you can even limit the number of hints for the whole game.
If you do it, don’t forget to define a value:

The bottom line is that building a game isn’t simple. You’ll always encounter a few errors that you’ll need to solve. In that way, I recommend that you also take a lot of time to test your games. I explain in this article why it’s important.
