Activity Station task: Make the real world interact with Loquiz

You’re about to host an event, and you have a few facilitators for some activities. Here’s a great thing to do: Connect their real-world challenges with Loquiz. The more a team succeeds, the more they receive points given by the facilitators.

The “activity station” task is what you need here.

Activity station task: How does it work

First of all, create a task. Then on “Type” dropdown menu, select “Activity station”. You’ll see new options:

• Instructor password: Only the instructor knows the password, so they can validate and decide the amount of points.

• Maximum points: The highest number of points that the instructor can give for completing this task

Then on the player’s screen, it will look like this:

Examples of activity station challenges

• Dart challenge: Depending on where the dart lands on the target, the team gets from 0 to 60 points for each throw, in their task. Once the facilitator counts the number of accumulated points, they can input it in “maximum points” after adding the password.
• Tasting test: Make the player taste 5 different flavors. The more they guess correctly, the more points they get. The facilitators manage the flavor samples and then add the points depending on the challenge’s outcome.
• Tangram: The facilitator hands tangram pieces to the players. They check how long it takes the team to build the correct shape. The faster they are, the more points the instructor gives them.
• The human pyramid: The group of 6 players needs to create a 3-layer-high human pyramid. They’ll get full points if they do so. If they only make a 2-layer pyramid, they’ll only get half of the points. The facilitator is here to control and award points.
• The shell game: The facilitator makes 3 rounds of this game. Depending on how many times the team guesses the correct cup, they’ll get more or fewer points. The facilitator will take the device and directly award the points.
