Create your own texts for the app menu and buttons

What to do when players don’t gather points but coins, mushrooms or another item category during the game?
How can you change the app menu texts?

You can do that with simple steps by creating your own language for the app. Creating your own translation is handy when you want to improve already existing language in Loquiz or simply create your own for a themed game. To get started with creating a language, go to upper right corner, click to an open a drop down menu and choose Translations. There you can click “New”.

Name your language and choose the base language you want to translate from. Then just start filling out  fields.
Important is- you do not have to translate everything! For example, you can create your own version of the existing English, translating only few buttons you prefer to change. You can search for them, translate and then save the language.

The most visible texts to translate are of course items in the app side menu- Info, Score, Chat, Satellite view, Code scanner, Score, Exit but also the OK button as well a correct/ wrong answer, Points etc.

Pay attention that some text strings have %s– in them. Leave that into your new wording because it is a dynamic number that changes- like the amount of points gathered.

In this example some of the above mentioned items were translated:

Finally, test out your new language in a game! This is needed to be sure that the texts fit the screen and translations make sense where they are placed!
