Do you own a successful game that was replicated for many of your customers? I don’t recommend simply cloning the game from one customer to another. Instead, you can create a template based on your successful game. Here are three reasons why you should do this.
When your game is converted into a template, it’s easier to replicate and then change some different data related to your client. You’re not getting lost in your long list of games, trying to find the correct game clone.
Moreover, you probably need to fine-tune your game after each event, after new waves of feedback. If your game is a template, you’ll have only one place to edit what’s necessary. If it were a game to clone, you might edit the wrong game and not take into account all the previous fine-tuning.
When you replicate a game, some tasks may be tied to specific client requests. For instance, a quiz might contain questions directly related to their company. If you simply clone the game, you risk accidentally offering a quiz with one client’s sensitive data to another.
The simple way to prevent this is to transform your successful game into a template. The template would contain no client-specific data. You would then create a unique, separate game for each client based on that template.
This approach also makes it easy to close or delete unused games, ensuring you don’t retain sensitive client data in your account longer than necessary. In this article, we provide more data safety tips.
Between Loquiz accounts, you can share templates. Imagine that you work alongside another game provider, or that you sell a game template to them. In this article, I explain how you can share.
