You’re hosting a large Loquiz event where all players will start from the same location, such as a conference room or a designated meeting point. To prevent overcrowding or confusion, you’ve decided that players should head to different locations within the game area. How can you achieve this using Loquiz? Let me explain.
By using the on-track blocks, you can randomly divide players. To do this, simply utilize the following blocks:
On-track works that way:
Loquiz assigns an “on-track” number to each player based on two factors: when they connect to the Loquiz game and the highest “on-track” number defined in the logic (e.g., 3 in our example). If the highest “on-track” number is set to 3, the logic will work as follows:
So here’s how you can apply this logic:
All the teams labeled as “on track 1” will see task #1—similar stories for 2 and 3. So at the beginning of the game, all the teams will equally go to 3 different locations.
There’s an issue with the previous logic—did you spot it? If a player completes their own task, won’t they be able to see all the remaining tasks? Here’s the updated logic that ensures players can see all tasks only after answering the first attributed one:
Once a player completes their assigned task, all remaining tasks will appear on the map—and the competition begins!
Notice the blue pins? The game divides the entire group into three parts, each heading in opposite directions. This ensures there won’t be the crowd congestion that event managers dread.
You can easily replicate this logic with the Loquiz Creator. Or you can check some of the game templates that uses it: The Photo Hunt and the 100 Coins v2.
If you have any questions, or if it seems difficult to do so, I would gladly take time for a (free) 30-minute demo and explain it to you. If so, feel free to choose a time on my calendar.
