By default tracking players location during the game is not switched on. Sometimes there are good reasons to follow players on the map during the game, for example to see which route each team followed or other times is good to analyze their movement after the game. For reasons like these, the Track player location feature is very handy.
The players’ location tracks are visible on the Results page.
