In order to play specific game you need to create an event.   One game can be played in several events and all the teams in specific event are shown in one results table.

To explain it you could create a game for London St.James park and then run it on Acme co event, and then on Super ltd. event etc. All the results will be held separately.

There are following settings when creating an event:

Basic settings (compulsory)

Event title

This is the title of an event. Make it meaningful, like Acme corp in Brussels. The name will be shown on results page as well.

This is the game that actually starts when the event is started.

Event Status OPEN/CLOSED

In order to start the games for this event the status needs to be open. After event you can close the status, so that nobody can start the games and the event will not show in device on event list.  Event results are still accessible.

Event username

Unique username that can be used to access only this event. In case you want to give somebody access to this event only, then they need this username. Username needs to be unique.

Event password

Sign in password for starting this specific event in the device. This an be as simple as you want it to be as it only affect starting the game.

Advanced settings (optional)

Maximum number of teams (optional, default No limit)

Set the limit only in case you want to give the event access to outsider and want to limit the use of teams. For example it is a good idea to set the limit if you create a game but do not conduct it.

Logo URL

Set a logo to override your account logo (if set) or Loquiz logo. This allows you to set a client logo for specific event. Logo image is scaled down to longer side being 300 pixels in the app.

Just comments for the event. Not displayed on the device nor on results pages.

Callback URL

This is purely technical and in beta. This is to be used if you want to create your own custom results table you can set here the URL where the results are sent to.

For each update API is POSTing following data for the team.

  "team_id": "xxxxxxx",
  "team_name": "testteam",
  "statistics": {
    "total_score": 1,
    "hints": 1,
    "total_steps": 1,
    "fast_forwards": 0,
    "steps_from_finish": 0,
    "time_spent": 107,
    "correct_answers": 1,
    "wrong_answers": 0,
    "odometer": 0,
    "penalty_points": 0

You can see the way the data is posted by pasting the following URL as  Callback URL and then navigating to the URL while somebody is playing.

Allows to mark the results pages that are publicly visible.  Default is that all the result pages are public.

PS! When logged in, all the possible results pages for the game type are shown.
