Ticketing Scope: How to sell tickets to groups

How to sell Loquiz tickets to one group, instead of one person? Use the ticketing scope. It will let you create one game with one result page, only displaying players from this group.

My article will explain the scope and how to use it.

Beforehand, what is ticketing?

First of all, if you don’t know what ticketing is, I advise you to read this article (benefits of ticketing) and watch this video:

To put it simply, ticketing allows you to sell single-use tickets automatically, through your website and/or a platform. It’s useful if you wish to sell tours or outdoor games to families or tourists.

Now let’s use generate tickets with or without Scope

What happens when you generate tickets, and you play with one of them?

You’ll only have one entry on their result page like this.

Result page for one ticket with 1 scope
Without the scope, each ticket has its own result page.

It’s not convenient if one family wants to share their score and photos. So now, let’s see how we use the scope. Once you’re on the generate ticket page, untick the option “Separate scope for each generated ticket” and give it a name.

We’re making a scope, a few tickets for one famous family

You will see that they all have the same scope. Whereas my previous tickets had a unique scope for each

Let’s make each of them start the game. Then let’s see their result page:

One result page for the whole scope

They appear on this page, and only they. Nobody else will be able to add themselves to this result page (unless you create tickets with the exact same scope name). In that way, you ensure their privacy.

Consequently, you didn’t need to create a new game for a specific group of people. It lets them share this result page link just for themselves.

If you have some ideas for this feature, or if you need more explanation, feel free to book a 30-minute demo with me here.

In what case is it relevant?

Besides, here are some more cases where you can use the ticketing scope for your Loquiz games:

  • A group of friends for a bachelor party bought 3 tickets, and they want the result on the same page
  • A company for a team-building event
  • A tourism facility selling your games, tracking their users on the same result page
