Redesigning the user experience

September 19, 2013 - 2 minutes read

Up to now 2500 teams have played Loquiz worldwide! We have had a lot of feedback on every aspects of the platform. Changes are coming in both fronts – how the games are made and how they are played. And some new features as well.

This story is only about the design of the app. We have been working to incorporate the feedback into the new design.  Let us know what you think about them.

1) Better readability in sunlight

High contrast questionLoquiz is mainly used outside so readability in sunlight is the major factor. New design starts with the notion of maximum contrast (black on white) in all the dialogues. It should be just easier to read and you do not have to put the screen brightness to maximum.

2) More screen real estate

Collapsible buttonsWhen looking at a map every single pixel of screen real estate is needed. Instead of fixed buttons, Loquiz will have collapsible dialogues. Instead of status bar the arrow, logo and time elements are floating.

3) Support for different screen sizes

Loquiz on phoneScreen resolutions on tablets are becoming more and more varied and the line between phones and tablets is disappearing. New modular design will work in any size/resolution screen. This means that Loquiz will work on Android and iOS phones. This will open up an array of possibilities for bigger groups etc.

What do you think?

Did we miss something? Have we gone to the wrong direction? Any comments, worries, recommendations on the designs are welcomed to eric@loquiz.com.
